During Hurricane Beryl (Category 4), JAAOCF responded with compassion, urgency, and unity to support families in Jamaica who faced devastating loss. Through our Disaster Relief Fund, we collected and shipped large pallets of non-perishable food, hygiene products, and essential household items to affected communities. This mission was made possible because our community stood together. We extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Holy Family Episcopal Church in Orlando for serving as our donation headquarters, Laura’s Shipping Company for ensuring our supplies reached Jamaica safely, and to our on-the-ground partners who distributed these items directly to families in need. We also thank the news media outlets for amplifying our call for help, and the many donors and volunteers who packed, sorted, and gave selflessly—your compassion brought relief, hope, and comfort when it was needed most.

Today, we face an even greater "CALL TO ACTION." Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm, has severely impacted 170 communities across six parishes in Jamaica. Thousands of families are displaced, schools and homes have been destroyed, and communities are struggling to recover. As we prepare to send relief again, your support is crucial. This is a time for us to unite once more—through donations, volunteering, corporate sponsorships, or spreading the word—to help rebuild lives and restore dignity to those affected. ​Together, we have already proven what is possible when love leads.
