The Jamaican American Association of Central Florida, Inc. (JAAOCF)

“For over 40 years, JAAOCF has been committed to helping students of Jamaican
heritage reach their academic and career goals through scholarships and mentorship.”
WELCOME TO OUR EDUCATION / SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
The Scholarship Committee, chaired by Dr. Barbara Dawkins, ensures the fair selection and ongoing support of scholarship recipients based on academic merit, leadership, and community service. Each year, through our Education & Scholarship Program, scholarships are awarded at the Annual Jamaica Independence & Scholarship Banquet to provide vital financial support. To date, JAAOCF has awarded over 100 scholarships to deserving students in Jamaica and the United States—helping to ease financial barriers and empower their journey toward academic success.
